West Ham United striker Ashley Fletcher has spoken to their official website and revealed the difference West Ham place on the Tottenham game and that Tottenham place on it
“This is a game where we want to come away with the three points. As soon as I joined West Ham I was made aware that Tottenham is one game that the fans look forward to. We will be doing everything we can to win and hopefully, it will propel us up the league.”
To West Ham it seems this is their biggest game of the season, to Spurs fans it is just another game against a London team, Arsenal of course, are our big rivals. Whenever you hear from West Ham fans though they can't seem to accept that fact.

I will be at the match on Saturday.
Went last year to this fixture to watch the spanking we got, not funny at all.
Given the way we are playing I am not especially hopeful but we did beat Chelsea, which may suggest we can rise to the occasion for the bigger games.

None of my mates who support Spurs really give a shit about Arsenal and 2 of them are season ticket holders.
Because they've grown up in Essex and every single one of their mates are Hammers, they hate us more.

I've hated Tottenham with venom since I became aware of them about 40 years ago. I'm indifferent to Millwall, who are my local club these days. Nothing to do with 1996 etc. Millwall just aren't relevant.

We bullied them on their own patch. It's about history and rivalry for 100 years. It's always been north London derby but over last 10 years wet spam and blue racists want to join in. That's why to me, it's just another game

it depends what generation you are but I find it hard to view Millwall as a bigger rival than Spurs. Millwall are small club that have fuck all fans and we only play them once every ten years or so, for most 20 30 somethings even 40 somethings we hate Millwall because we are meant to hate them but Spurs it's present hate, based on the here and now. Spurs fans do hate us you only have to see how cocky they are when they win.

Millwall is obviously our real derby game. sadly think will lose some interest from younger fans unless we start to play them again.
Spurs is huge but for me so is Chelsea and Man Utd.
Spurs say our game means nothing until they lose and then get upset.
Saw there fans on tube at West Ham station last year giving it the large until they reached Upton Park station then absolute silence. Sums then up.
